Admission Procedure


All the top MBA colleges in India have different criteria for admission. Generally, it involves a four-stage process that involves:

Step 1 - Register Applies for Entrance Exam

  • You would need to register and apply for the relevant MBA entrance exams like CAT/XAT/MAT/SAT from the respective website.

  • Most national level MBA entrance exams registration process begins in September and November

  • Usually, the registration window remains open for 45-50 days

Step 2 - Appear in the exam

  • Sit for the Entrance Exam consisting of 100 marks and MCQ patterns

  • There are deductions in marks for each wrong answer

Step 3 - Shortlisting

  • The top B-schools will shortlist candidates for final admission and counseling based on academic marks, entrance results, and other parameters.

Step 4 - Document verification

  • Documents of foreign and Indian nationals will be verified at this stage

  • You will submit your passport and valid IDs to the counseling authorities.

English Proficiency Requirement


If you are a non-native English speaker, you will need to prove your English capabilities through an English proficiency test. Most MBA programs In India are conducted in English, and a valid score will get you admission to any college.

MBA in India Without GMAT


Many MBA colleges in India offer direct admission on the basis of your academic score bypassing the GMAT. You can take admission in private MBA colleges like NMIMS, Symbiosis, or SMU by taking their own entrance exams.
