Completion of 10th and 10+2 is required.
Total number of years spent in education should be thirteen. This includes twelve years of schooling and one year-long preparatory course after it.
The minimum CGPA in order to be eligible is 8.5. However, the better the university, the higher the CGPA expectancy.
German universities teach their undergraduate programs in German, so a B1 or C1-level of German proficiency certificate is mandatory. Some private universities also have English as their language of teaching, and for those, you need to produce a TOEFL (90-100 score) or IELTS (6.5-7 band score) certification.
A LOR from your school teachers is mandatory.
A SOP highlighting your experience in academics and your goals is also mandatory.
The language of instruction in Germany is German in undergraduate programs. In order to prove your proficiency, you need to have a German language proficiency certificate, up to B1 or C1 level. In case you do not have the certification, you can enroll in a German preparatory course. Private universities also have English as their language of instruction, and for that, you need to have a TOEFL score of 90-100 and, in the case of IELTS, a score of 6.5-7.
There are two deadlines per year, based on the intake. They are as follows -
Winter intake - This is the more popular session of the two. The application submission closes on 15 July.
Summer intake - Summer intake closes its applications on 15 January.
We recommend that the students start researching and preparing themselves at least a year in advance in order to make sure their application is top-notch. Another key point is that favoring one session over the other is just a personal preference; the universities treat both intakes equally.
